1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior, Cherry

This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior is a standout, all-original example from what many players consider the sweet spot of the model’s production. With its finish naturally faded on the top and remaining richer and more vibrant on the back, it has exactly the kind of honest visual character you want to see on a late-’50s Junior following decades of graceful ageing.

The double-cut mahogany body is wonderfully resonant, lightweight, and alive in the hands, and the neck is everything you’d hope for from the 'Goldilocks' ’59 profile - it sits beautifully in the palm with just the right amount of shoulder without feeling cumbersome.

Electronics are entirely original, with the lone P-90 measuring a healthy 8.49k. Unsurprisingly, it sounds superb. Open, raw and responsive, with plenty of bite when pushed and a warm, woody clarity when backed off, this is classic Junior tone at its best! Dynamic, touch-sensitive and incredibly responsive, it’s the kind of guitar that rewards nuance just as much as aggression.

A MojoAxe compensating bridge is currently fitted, improving intonation while preserving the feel and look of the original setup, and the original bridge is included in the case.
