2010 Gibson Custom Shop TV Special, TV Yellow (Bavarian Makeovers)

A 2010 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Special that has been extensively reworked by Florian at Bavarian Makeovers, one of the most respected names in vintage-inspired refinishing and restoration. Florian's work is renowned for faithfully capturing the look, feel, and subtle details of well-played vintage Gibsons, and this guitar is no exception.

This one started off life as a 2010 Custom Shop 1960 TV Special  VOS, it has since been refinished in a beautifully aged TV Yellow, with the finish, hardware, and plastics all carefully treated to recreate the appearance of an original. The result is convincing without being overdone, giving the guitar the feel of an instrument that has been played and enjoyed for decades. The checking is beautifully fine and the lacquer is bone-hard, really giving that convincing Golden-Era feel in the hands.

The neck has also been professionally reshaped to an authentic late-50's carve , resulting in a comfortable, broken-in profile that feels immediately familiar in the hand. Complementing this is a set of TysonTone P-90s, delivering everything you'd hope for from a great vintage-style Special—plenty of bite and clarity, rich midrange, and excellent dynamic response, cleaning up beautifully with the volume control while remaining aggressive when pushed.

The makeover is completed with aged hardware and a replacement pickguard, bringing the whole package together into a remarkably cohesive vintage-style instrument.

Presented in excellent condition, with all ageing and wear forming part of the professional Bavarian Makeovers treatment.
