2011 Gibson Les Paul Standard '59 VOS Reissue, Paradise Burst - OTPG Pickups

2011 Les Paul ’59 VOS Reissue in the striking and very limited Paradise Burst finish available in 2011 only and limited to around 20 pieces! In addition this one has been retrofitted with the ever desirable and crazy rare OTPG (Over the Pond Guy) PAF replica pickups - arguably the best replica's out there! As such this R9 dishes out the articulate midrange, airy highs, and dynamic warmth that define the best vintage-style Les Pauls. The magnets used in this set are Isotropic Alnico 5's - the unoriented nature making them less hot and warmer vs the more widely used oriented magnets. From singing lead tones to rich, harmonically complex rhythm work, it’s incredibly responsive to the player. It's no wonder these are so revered and hard to come by.

The beautiful maple top has an elegant flame beneath the warm red/orange burst - a rare take and something a little different to Gibson's typical finishes.

The lightweight mahogany body and comfortable ’59-profile neck offer remarkable resonance and sustain, paired with a dark rosewood fingerboard punctuated with trapeze inlays. The VOS (Vintage Original Spec) treatment provides the perfect touch of gentle ageing, very subtle patina on the hardware and a softly dulled nitrocellulose finish that feels lightly played-in without crossing into relic territory.

It plays superbly well and is perfectly setup with zero fret or fingerboard wear anywhere. In fact it looks as if it has barely been out of its case and we think you would be hard pressed to find a better example.

In excellent overall condition with only very light signs of handling from its VOS finish, this example includes its original Custom Shop, black hardshell case, COA, and case candy.
